Adam Kō Shin Tebbe (Kō Shin meaning Shining Heart) is the founder and senior editor at Sweeping Zen, which he started in May 2009. In 2013 he took the Buddhist precepts with Myoan Grace Schireson Roshi and he participates in Empty Nest Zendo’s annual SPOT program. Kō Shin is currently filming a documentary called Zen in America, which seeks to document Zen’s transmission here in the West (GoFundMe page). Previously he worked as a freelance news gatherer for Buddhadharma: The Practitioner’s Quarterly (now Lion’s Roar on the web) and he also blogs occasionally for The Huffington Post‘s religion section on Zen related topics. Kō Shin has been interviewed by Tricycle.com and has been featured on The Secular Buddhist Association‘s podcast in 2011 and 2013 with their Executive Director, Ted Meissner. He attends various local sitting groups in Ohio and currently leads a weekly meditation group in Appalachian Ohio, where he currently lives.
